He earned a specialist degree in International Relations from the International Turkmen-Turkish University and a master’s degree in government and politics, with a specialization in energy security, from University College Cork in Ireland.
Mr. Jorayev's career began at the International Turkmen Turkish University, where he held various academic and administrative roles, including Teaching Assistant, Lecturer, Head of the Department, and Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Entrepreneurship and International Business. Demonstrating a commitment to scholarly pursuits, he was also an applicant for the Degree of Candidate of Political Sciences at the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan from 2009 to 2012.
Currently, Mr. Jorayev is an Energy Advisor for the "EU for a green Turkmenistan: Policy Dialogue and Climate Action 2024-2028" project, which is co-financed by the EU and implemented by GIZ. He is also a respected co-author of several publications, including "The political structure of Turkmenistan (2014)," "Diplomatic correspondence (2014)," and "Foreign Policy of Turkmenistan (2017)." His research interests are broad, encompassing political science, international current issues, energy security, renewable energy, and methane reduction.
